Director
Sean is a Level 5 Coach with over 20 years paddling experience and has paddled on most continents around the world.
After a qualifying as a Building Manager at Wolverhampton University, Sean turned to the outdoor industry for employment as a way to spend more time paddling whilst maintaining an income, of sorts. Over the next ten years Sean's passion for paddling took him to many different rivers in a variety of boats.
Associate Instructor
Ian started paddling at 14 and spent several years paddling the Thames' weirs. However, since moving to The Lakes, Ian's heart has been on the river. Apart from the UK, Ian has paddled in the French Alps, Italy, Austria, Slovnia, Montenegr, Spanish Pyrenese, California, Thailand, Ecuador, and spent a season rafting and paddling in Norway.
"For me coaching has always gone hand in hand with paddling and I have been coaching every year since I was 16. I have also enjoyed getting in to some Scotish multi-day canoe trips recently.
The best days on the water are spent running new rivers with a good group of people and watching the people I have coached progress and to see that smile as they nail the line or move.
As for the future, I'm working towards my level 5 inland, whilst, as always, trying to cram in as many European trips as possible, as well as planning a trip to some undiscovered rivers of Siberia in the next few years."
Associate Instructor
