In March 2024 British Canoeing changed its name to Paddle UK. The new name is to reflect the demographics of its evolving membership and is far more inclusive as it captures more fully the breadth of paddling activity that falls under its responsibility, including kayaking, canoeing, stand up paddleboarding and paddlesport. |

Paddlesport Safety and Rescue Course (PSRC) replaced Foundation Safety and Rescue Training (FSRT) on the 1st January 2023. Both the PRSC and FSRT are recognised as pre-requisites for the relevant qualifications e.g Paddlesport Instructor. White Water Safety course (WWS) replaced White Water Safety and Rescue Training (WWSR) on 1st November 2023. Both the WWS and WWSR are recognised as pre-requisites for the relevant qualifications e.g White Water Leader. Advanced White Water Safety course replaces Advanced White Water Safety and Rescue Training (WWSR) on 2nd January 2024. Both are recognised as pre-requisites for the relevant qualifications e.g Advanced White Water Leader. |
