This is a two day assessment looking at personal skill and leadership on open water and on grade 2 rivers.
Over the two days, candidates will be asked to lead a group.
During the two day assessment, candidates will be seen by two assessors who will look at personal paddling skill and leadership on moderate inland water.
On day two, candidates will be asked to lead a group.
During the course we will look at open water skill including leadership, sailing, use of rafted canoes & rescues.
On thge river we will look at personal skill, leadership options, group management and rescues,along with poling and lining.
The training looks at the skills needed to lead in advanced conditions
This includes the most advanced river running techniques, rescue skills and leadership on grade 4 water.
During the two days, candidates paddle grade 4 water demonstrating good leadership and personal skills along with effective incident management.
We run this course in a variety of formats. It looks at the wide range of skills needed to lead groups in canoes in adavanced conditions
